Goal: The goal of this lab is to learn how to design and implement simple circuits on a breadboard. Our circuit should be able to turn on an LED under the command of signals produced by switches and logic chips. We will use an LM555 timer chip and various logic chips to generate transistor-transistor logic (TTL) signals. We will use transistors in saturation to amplify command signals to drive and LED, speaker and a pager motor.
Materials: transistors, logic gates, power supply, voltage regulator, LED, breadboard, LM555 timer chip, resistors and capacitors, potentiometer, pager motor, small speaker
